'Watching' (Eurasian Coot) |

This
was one of the first pictures I completed after a long illness. It was
a relief to sign a painting again after so long, and I always felt the
Eurasian Coot in the painting was watching me. I kept expecting him
to say "No, idiot, that's not how my beak looks!"
