'Gouldian Afternoon' (Gouldian Finches)

This picture is a little improbable though not impossible. 4 males, in all 3 color schemes (including the highly rare orange faced variety) and on lily stalks. OK, it's a stretch. but certainly a wild flock will usually include different face colors

I worry about Gouldian Finches, they are without doubt the worlds most gorgeous finch, & one of the most popular cage birds on earth.

Unfortunately they die very easily in captivity, & the wild population, restricted to a small area in Australia's top end, is subject to poaching & disease. They are an endangered bird, & their survival is in grave peril. If we cant keep these gems alive, what are we good for?
