The Great Egret is one of my favourite birds. I have painted it as often as any other. The colours that can be found in an all white bird never cease to amaze me. One of Australia's finest artists, Peter Slater, once told me he'd like to do a book called "what color is white", a concept I hope he follows through with one day.
