This was something of a special painting as it got me into 'Birds in Art' in 2001. I really didn't expect it as I'd sent what I thought were much better pictures which had been rejected, but having spoken to other artists it appears that this happens a lot. The exhibition's opening weekend in Wasau, Wisconsin, was an unforgettable experience. We met some amazing people, including some of my favourite artists, and saw some fantastic art & spectacular wildlife (as well as doing some fairly heavy duty shopping). Many of the folks there will remember me less for my work, & more for being the muggins chasing a chipmunk around the front of the museum with a camera.
